Hi! I'm Tanya
I've worn many hats, but I've always had a passion for creative projects. In 2017 I started experimenting with beeswax food wraps — gifting them to friends and family first. Once I'd perfected my formula, I started selling on a small scale, and it grew from there.
In April 2023 I was retrenched and took the leap: I turned my hobby into a full-time business. My wraps have found their way to Germany, Sweden, Finland, Thailand, Botswana, and Ireland. I guarantee Moekie's Beeswax Food Wraps are the best quality, made with love and care.
I sell at markets, in a few small shops, and now online. I was also featured on the local TV program "Fiesta". Thank you for your support!

What are beeswax food wraps?
100% cotton fabric infused with beeswax, pine resin, and organic coconut oil — a reusable, biodegradable alternative to cling wrap and tinfoil.
How do I use beeswax wraps?
Warm the wrap with your hands to soften the wax, then wrap food or cover a bowl. It sticks to itself to form a seal. Avoid raw meat and hot items.
Can I use them in the fridge and freezer?
Yes. They keep food fresh and maintain moisture in both the refrigerator and freezer.
How do I clean beeswax food wraps?
Rinse with cold water and mild soap. Air dry. Avoid hot water — it can melt the wax.
How long do beeswax wraps last?
With proper care, about a year. You can refresh them by ironing between wax paper or a short spell in the oven on low heat.
Are Moekie's wraps suitable for vegans?
They contain beeswax, which is an animal product, so they are not vegan. However they are natural, compostable and far better for the planet than single-use plastic.
